Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Proof iOS app ("the app", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Not Medical Advice

Proof provides educational estimates derived from published research. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have experienced shakes, hallucinations, or seizures when cutting back on alcohol, talk to a doctor before changing your drinking. The app's screening questions are an educational safety check, not a medical assessment. Figures shown in the app — such as estimated sleep protected, calories avoided, or money kept — are estimates based on published studies and your own inputs, not measurements or guarantees.

Any decision to change your alcohol consumption, and the manner in which you do so, is yours alone and made at your own risk. You are solely responsible for consulting a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your drinking, and for any consequences of relying on information or estimates shown in the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the app.

Subscriptions

Some features of the app require a paid subscription. Current pricing, billing periods, and any introductory offers are displayed in the app and on the App Store listing before you purchase.

All purchases are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device Settings or at Manage Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
We may change subscription pricing or features from time to time; any price change will apply only to subsequent billing periods and will be handled through Apple's standard consent process.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the app, or use it in violation of applicable law. The app is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.

Your Content

Data you enter into the app remains yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process it in order to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any information, estimate, or figure shown in the app will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual circumstances.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, or for any personal injury, health outcome, or other harm, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the app — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
